Link2One. Full Functionality that is Easy to Implement

One connection to Link2One provides Voice, Data, CAMEL, 3G, GPRS and SMS functionality.

The Principles of SS7 Implementation

To implement SS7, your SSL carrier will open the path to Link2One and then you'll use a centralized signaling link that is established with the L2O Hub. No additional implementation with international carriers is needed. The technical data of the VPMN will be configured by the operator

  • MTP Routing requires no new ISPCs as all messages (except SMS) are routed to Link2One
  • SCCP Routing: SMSC GTs and IMSI will be mapped to the L2O Hub MGT

You will have to perform a one-time routing table configuration to properly route traffic to the Link2One Hub.

The Principles of IP Implementation

To implement IP, you'll ask your GRX provider to “advertise” the Link2One Hub IP address within the L2O network. You'll then take advantage of the data link established via your GRX to reach the other member operators. No additional implementation in other GRX is needed and no additional IPs need to be defined. You will have to configure the technical data of the VPMN (APN) and perform a one-time routing table configuration to properly route traffic to the Link2One Hub.

Activating CAMEL

To activate CAMEL services, you need to have voice service available via the Link2One Hub in the VPMN. L2O can manage all signalling messages exchanged between the operator and VPMN, but the final acceptance of the service will depend on the content in the TAP files (the real number dialed by the subscriber must be correctly populated).

Activating GPRS/3G/3.5G

Activation of GPRS/3G/3.5G services is dependent on handset behavior and/or VPMN configuration. Voice service available via the hub in the VPMN is not necessary.

Intelligent Networking Services

Link2One supports pre-paid dialing, short-code roaming and special call routing services. Again, testing is done only once with the Link2One Hub.

Network Version Compliance

The Link2One Hub supports backwards compliance. A version 3 network can connect with version 1, but not the reverse.

Connecting with New Member Operators

To connect with new operators that join Link2One, you will need to configure their technical and billing data in your network and instruct your Data Clearing House to send their TAP files to Link2One. The new roaming relationship will be launched after some simple tests.

Handling Customer Complaints

If you have a customer complaint about roaming services, you do not have to contact the other operator to resolve it. You simply contact the Link2One 24/7/365 Customer Care Center and we'll handle the analysis and solution.

IREG Testing

All IREG testing will be completed centrally by an automatic tool. If there is no local
unit available in the visited VPMN network, then the client operator will perform the test. Testing that requires modification to the HLR of the subscriber will require the participation of that particular operator.

IREG/TADIG Testing Plan

A complete testing project plan is provided to each client operator at the beginning of every test. A detailed report is provided for reference when testing is completed.

Putting Traffic On or Off the Link2One Hub

The operator will need to update the outing table to route traffic correctly, either through the Link2One Hub or directly to the RP (if reverting to a bilateral relationship). The L2O Hub will adapt the configuration accordingly. It is important that all the parties (VPMN, HPMN and the Hub) agree on the launch date. The procedure works in the same way if you wish to remove traffic.
